Thereafter, scores are received weekly through August, then every 3-4 weeks. AP/IB Credit can be seen on Hokie SPA within three business days of Virginia Tech receiving the scores. The American Council on Education (ACE) recognizes the educational value of military training and experience. Military credit will be awarded at Virginia Tech based on Joint Services Transcripts (JST) and Air University/Community College of the Air Force transcripts. Grades equivalent to a C or better are required for transfer.
An official transcript must be submitted to Admissions for new students, or to the Office of the University Registrar for students returning to Virginia Tech.
The Office of the University Registrar and the academic dean of the student’s College will determine the credits required for degree completion. Once credit has been applied to a student's academic record, the student may work with the advisor to determine how credit may apply to the specific major.
For questions pertaining to transfer credit for military education and training, please contact the Office of the University Registrar at transfercredit@vt.edu.
