Professional Licensure Disclosure
Last updated July 2024.
Federal regulations require Virginia Tech to disclose to students which of our licensure leading degree programs meet each state's educational requirements for licensure. Virginia Tech offers degrees in the areas of teacher education, counseling education, and Doctor of Medicine that lead to professional licensure. Specific information for programs within these areas are listed below.
In accordance with the Department of Education's Federal Regulations, Virginia Tech discloses whether its educational programs leading to careers that require licensure meet educational requirements for professional licensure in each state. The program pages in the table below will direct you to the program’s determinations for each state as to whether:
- The program meets the educational requirements for professional licensure/certification
- The program does not meet the educational requirements for professional licensure/certification
The table also provides a Virginia Tech contact and a source for licensure information by state for each program.
This information is updated annually.
